Remembering Barry Stewart Genno

Passed peacefully at Trillium Manor in Orillia on Tuesday June 5, 2018 in his 61st year.  Barry, predeceased by his parents Clifford and Mary, will be sadly missed by his brother Lee (Lisa Jermey) Genno, and by his sister Wendy (Ray Pealow) Whelan.  Barry will be lovingly remembered by his nephew and nieces Ryan Genno, Jessica Genno, Jodi Whelan, and Brandy (Cody) Westerdyk, and by his great nieces and nephew Charleigh, Georgia, and Mason.  Barry will be missed by his cousin and long-time dear friend Doreen Carrick.  Barry graduated from ODCVI in Orillia and went on to attend Georgian College for computer programming.  He was an active part of the Ramona/Coopers Falls Community and he helped out with the Coopers Falls Rink and sat on the Ramona Agricultural Fair Board for some years.  Barry loved the outdoors and camping with his dad, and working around the farm with his hands.  He was a loving and dedicated caregiver to his mom Mary for the last 10 years of her life.  Barry’s sense of humour will be missed by the staff at Trillium Manor and by all who knew him.  The family will receive relatives and friends at the Doolittle Chapel of Carson Funeral Homes, 54 Coldwater St. E., Orillia, (705) 326-3595 on Thursday June 7, 2018 from 7 – 9 p.m.  Services will be held in the chapel on Friday at 1 o’clock.  Interment to follow at the Coopers Falls Free Methodist Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Kidney foundation and would be appreciated by the family.
